Wintershall at ADIPEC 2015Wintershall at the largest oil and gas conference in the Middle East region (Hall 6, Stand 6236) / Showing technologies to recover oil and gas from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius
Kassel/Abu Dhabi. From November 9-12, 2015, Germany’s largest internationally active oil and gas producer will be showcasing its activities and technological expertise at the “Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference” (ADIPEC). With its participation in ADIPEC, Wintershall is underlining the special importance of the Middle East for the company’s strategic orientation. Wintershall has been active in the region for several years now and plans to continue to be so in the future. For this purpose, the company opened a regional representative office in Abu Dhabi in 2010. In June 2012, Wintershall signed an agreement with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and the Austrian OMV regarding the technical appraisal of the Shuwaihat sour gas and condensate field. As operator, Wintershall is relying on its high HSE standards and more than 40 years of experience in the safe development and production of sour gas fields.
Under this year’s motto “Innovation and Technology in a New Energy World,” Wintershall will emphasize its expertise to recover oil and gas from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius all around the globe – from Siberia to the United Arab Emirates. Wintershall’s parent company BASF will also be displaying its OASE Gas Treatment at the exhibition stand (Hall 6, Stand 6236).
This year, Wintershall will participate in the panel session “Research & Development: Driving Innovation through global-local R&D partnerships” with Dr. Martin Bremeier, Technology Manager at Wintershall Middle East. He will chair and moderate the panel session with Wafik B. Beydoun, Manager at the R&D Division from ADNOC. Gregor Brodt, Vice President of Global Development for Oilfield & Mining Solutions, BASF will also participate in this discussion as a speaker.
ADIPEC is also organizing a “Women in Industry” Conference, which will take place on the November 8, 2015, one day before the official opening of ADIPEC. On this occasion, Claudia Kromberg, Head of Development at Wintershall Germany, will participate in the roundtable discussion “Work and family life balance: learn how to level the playing field and gain the perfect balance.”
Finally, Wintershall will offer unique “Expert Briefings” at its exhibition stand. Technical experts from Wintershall working on the Shuwaihat sour gas project will present different core aspects of their work. These presentations followed by Q&A sessions will take place twice a day and are open to the public.
