No matter whether it is office equipment, meals for our colleagues, chemicals or technical needs like pipelines or production machinery – we procure products and services worth more than 1 billion euros for Wintershall each year. Sustainability

We defined our expectations regarding sustainability in a code of conduct for our suppliers. You may find this information on our parent company’s website BASF. „Supplier Code of Conduct“ 

Our principal attitude towards sustainability is anchored on the „Health, Safety and Environment“ website. Of course we face our responsibility for environment and climate protection and minimize environmental impact as well as use of energy and resources by shaping our processes respectively. In Germany we introduced the energy management system according to DIN EN ISO 50001 and will implement the system worldwide for all Wintershall activities until 2020.

We have a strong interest in an improved energy efficiency regarding the design of machinery, sites, products, services and facilities. Therefore, we also consider these points during the awarding process.

Systems & processes

Wintershall uses a web based sourcing tool for planning and executing tenders and managing contracts. The software ProCon delivered by AVEVA Group is applied as a platform for managing all important process steps during the complete contract lifecycle. ProCon guarantees the secure handling of confidential documents according to Wintershall security guidelines and process standards, especially sealed bid procedure. 

In addition, the web-based software myFUTURA is used by Wintershall for requests for quotations based on GAEB data format.
