As a result, Wintershall has become the owner of all the shares in Revus. The compensation offered in the compulsory acquisition is NOK 110 per share, equal to the price that was offered as cash settlement to the shareholders in Revus through Wintershall’s voluntary offer dated 4 November 2008.

Wintershall today announces that it has received approval from the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (the “MPE”) for consummation of the voluntary offer from Wintershall Norwegen Explorations- und Produktions-GmbH (“Wintershall”) dated 4 November 2008 for all the shares of Revus Energy ASA, Norway, (“Revus”).

Wintershall has received and registered acceptances for 44,480,495 shares representing 95.12 % of the total number of shares in Revus on a fully diluted basis.

In 2007 Wintershall succeeded in raising the production of crude oil and natural gas slightly to 112 million barrels oil equivalent. Within the “Gas for Europe” strategy important projects in Russia and in the North Sea have been pushed.

BASF subsidiary Wintershall increased production slightly in 2007 and built up its reserves substantially. Production from the Yuzhno Russkoye field in Siberia which began at the end of last year is developing very successfully.
